Gerardo Matos - 2010 CPFHA Trainer Of The Year

Rancho De Milagro Trainer and Ranch Manager, Gerardo Matos was named “2010 CPFHA Trainer of the Year” by the Association. After compiling a spectacular show record during the 2010 Show Season, Gerardo took two horses to Nationals in Perry Georgia, where he rode Dona Cecilia De Milagro to the 4 Year Old Pleasure Championship and Luna Llena De La Rosa to the Grand National Classic Fino Reserve Championship.

At 35 years old Gerardo is one of the most respected Young Trainers and International Riders in the Country. His soft training techniques used on both horses and riders has earned him recognition not only here in the United States but also in Puerto Rico and Columbia. At Rancho De Milagro he not only trains Milagro horses but also trains clients and their horses for both show and trail. Gerardo heads up the ongoing breeding program at Rancho De Milagro where he overlays the best characteristics of both the Stallion and the Mare to produce top quality offspring. Gerardo lives in San Jacinto with his family and participates in youth soccer programs and church activities when he is not busy at the ranch.
